September 11: Lucas is really getting into climbing trees. Prepping for a favorite salad. Arugula, beets, goat cheese & pistachios, with a mustard maple dressing.
September 12: Lucas road his bike to children’s museum for the first time. Such an exciting big kid step.
September 13: Love those big, brown eyes.
September 14: Both kids have some major tattoo love right now.
September 15: Shrinky Dinks and Halloween preparations.
September 16: Dinner time with these two. Lucas talks and moves non-stop. Lya (assuming she is happy with the meal choice) concentrates and eats slowly.
September 17: Lucas eagerly tries out the roller skates.
September 18: Table runner prep for the weekend wedding. And a gorgeous fall sky.
September 19: Watching the house painters.
September 20: As the leaves begin to fall, it has proven pretty obvious that without tree cover or curtains, we are fairly exposed. So, in light of needing something quick and not being ready to make any big commitments, we picked up some $3 paper blinds from ikea. For now, these will allow us to have some privacy and continue on with this big ol’ renovation. cut-off hangs in Lya’s room.
September 21: Mike and Suzi’s wedding day. With a house full of guests out and about, we have a few quiet moments at home. Lucas’ current favorite book is “Sylvester can Pester” and I can’t complain.
September 22: Nick and I crawled into bed at 3am. A fabulous outdoor wedding celebration that included a lot of rain and dancing.
September 23: This kid….
